Our Favorite San Diego Restaurants
Craving American comfort food? Claim Jumper Restaurant & Saloon is one of our favorite local spots to enjoy ribs, coconut shrimp, tri-tip or a burger. During happy hour, their pomegranate mojito and spicy mango mule are a few of our favorites!
Ready to indulge in a delicious brunch on the weekend? Werewolf on 4th Ave. can’t be beat! The pork belly Benedict, house-made biscuits & gravy, and fluffy peaches and cream pancakes are just a few of their delicious brunch menu offerings. Make sure to try their mimosa or Irish coffee with your brunch – it’s the weekend, so why not indulge a little?
Did someone say Lobster Night? At 100s Seafood Grill Buffet, “Lobster Night” is every Thursday and Friday and worth the drive to Camino Del Rio. Ideal for family meals, the buffet offers a variety of fresh seafood dishes as well as unique ice cream flavors for dessert (like pink grapefruit and mango!).
Crushed, located in Pacific Beach, is the perfect restaurant to meet up with friends or coworkers for a bite to eat or a leisurely drink. Their tapas and vegan dishes offer a tasty panoply of options designed for sharing. The quaint, laid-back atmosphere is conducive to cozy conversations.
No matter where you choose to enjoy a meal in San Diego, remember Estrella Dental has emergency dental appointments available, just in case your teeth don’t appreciate your meal as much as your tastebuds do!
“Can’t Miss” San Diego Attractions
Balboa Park is one of the most famous urban cultural parks in the United States, featuring a variety of attractions, including the world-famous San Diego Zoo! Balboa Park spans over 1,200 acres and full of interesting spots that house various museums, information centers and gift shops. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes if you get really ambitious and decide to walk the entire park in a day. Some of our favorite spots in the park are the building featuring Colonial Hispanic architecture and the botanical garden.
If you’ve ever been to SeaWorld, you know it’s a magical place that allows visitors to get up close to all types of fascinating sea life. Live shows feature killer whales, dolphins, sea lions and more. Explorer’s Reef is the best spot for kids to interact with the wildlife and touch crabs, sharks, or cleaner fish. Attractions, roller coasters and water rides are spread throughout SeaWorld. Be sure to take the time to enjoy the fresh California cuisine overlooking scenic Mission Bay.
The view from Point Loma can’t be beat! This lookout point above San Diego Bay is also the home of the Cabrillo monument. Kids can enjoy the tide pools while you enjoy the scenic overview of San Diego and the Pacific Ocean. If you visit on a clear day you can see the mountains of San Bernardino and several offshore islands. Watching Navy ships, submarines and sailboats travel in and out of the harbor is a relaxing way to spend a few hours, and on the ocean side, you might even see a whale or two!
San Diego is known as “Navy Town, USA” and the USS Midway Museum pays homage to America’s longest-serving aircraft carrier in the 20th century. Located in downtown San Diego, this interactive museum showcases the adventures of 225,000 young men who served on the Midway. Experience flight simulators, a self-guided audio tour and more as you walk through this iconic museum.
